When myself, my sister, and pup walked in, there was no one in the waiting room, and no one being seen as I could tell. We did not get greeted with a friendly “hello” or smile. I literally had to ease my way up to the counter and be the first one to speak. The ladies here do not have any customer service skills what so ever. I was bringing my 11 year old dog in due to heavy panting all of a sudden and his need to be right with me (which he has never been needy). The vet kept trying to talk me into all kinds of unnecessary things that weren’t cheap. Needless to say a $50 visit quickly turned into $200. They do not take any kind of payment plan so I had to pay it all at once. Turns out he had an ear infection so he got one treatment on this visit and I had to bring him back in a week to have the second one. On our way out we were not thanked. When the lady at the checkout saw me all she said was the amount I owed. She didn’t say anything other than the money that was due. I was not given any paperwork about my dogs infection or an appointment time to be back. I had to call back and speak to a very rude lady on the phone to get an appointment time. I will never be back to this vet clinic. They clearly are not compassionate about their jobs or the fur babies they are “supposedly” there to care for. It is CLEARLY DRIVEN BY MONEY!! I will not be back and would not recommend this place to anyone. I felt totally unappreciated and that me and my pet as customers were not valued. Not a good feeling at all. Might I add that they did send me a thank you card and had all the staff sign it. I’m jot sure if this was a way to kiss my bitt because I voiced how I felt about the treatment we received, or if they do that to all customers. Who knows and who cares? A card doesn’t make up for rude and unprofessional behavior like this!!! Stay away from Elizabethton Veterinary Clinic!!!!!
Had to select one star...would rather give zero.
New to the area, tried to take our youngest of three toy poodles in at opening time for treatment, presenting with diarrhea and bloody stool. Was advised no walk-ins taken till 1:30 PM and no estimate of waiting time since three walk-ins already on schedule. No cars in parking lot, no one in waiting room, four ladies behind counter doing each other's hair. "Hairdresser" snapped there were no appointments available till Wednesday...today's Friday. We will happily take our (substantial) business elsewhere!
